1. General introduction
Cable protectors are widely used to protect cross couplings, tubing, safety valves, completions, fixtures, well repairs, and gauge complications. They are made using precision casting methods and high-quality materials to ensure their reliability. The smooth and streamlined design effectively prevents damage during the movement of the production tubing, ensuring uninterrupted and accurate gauge readings. Due to their simple design, cable protectors can be quickly installed without requiring separate parts or pins, reducing the risk of hang-ups. Moreover, they can be easily removed and reinstalled as necessary.
In order to increase durability, all cable protectors are equipped with dual corrosion resistance measures. The protectors have spot-welded hinges to enhance overall integrity and strength. They also feature a spring friction pad gripping system that provides a superior hold on the cables, ensuring slip and rotation resistance to securely keep the cables in place. The gripping action is non-destructive, minimizing potential damage to the conductors. Furthermore, the design of the cable protectors aims to eliminate compression-related damages to the conductors, thereby ensuring their long-term reliability.
3. Specifications:
The cable protectors are crafted from either low carbon steel or stainless steel, offering exceptional strength and corrosion resistance. They are offered in two primary types: cross-coupling protectors and mid-joint protectors, catering to diverse application requirements.
Suitable for API tubing sizes ranging from 2 3/8" to 7", these protectors ensure compatibility with a wide range of tubing dimensions. They can be adapted to accommodate various cable shapes, including flat, round, or square cables, as well as other components such as chemical injection lines and umbilicals.
For applications requiring the segregation of multiple lines, a multichannel design option is available, allowing for the effective organization and protection of multiple lines within a single cable protector.
Customization options are also available upon request to meet specific project requirements, ensuring the cable protectors can be tailored to fit unique needs and specifications.
